Intercontinental GT Challenge, Laguna Seca was AWESOME!

Got a chance to get to the Intercontinental GT Challenge last weekend.  The weather was absolutely beautiful and the crowds were very reasonable…easy to park, get around and get good seats, views and pictures!  Made for a great family event as well–we all went, had a great day and were lucky to avoid a sunburn.

The racing was great, lots of cars on the lead lap right up until the finish, which didn’t go the way I wanted but at least a podium finish for Porsche.

As you can imagine, the sound of the cars is fantastic.  The biggest positive surprise was the Bentley.  OMG they sound amazing.  That big turbocharged V8 at full chat is enough to make your teeth rattle! And they just look so imposing with the GIANT gril!

Really wish I could see the next few races but given the distances, will have to settle for watching on TV.  Enjoy the pictures, most of which were taken by my oldest son.
